Confessions It's Complicated

Confessions – It’s Complicated is a web series about three girls who’ve come from three different regions of India to start their careers in Mumbai.
All three of them - Sameera Saxena from the north, Raka Ghosh from the east, and Nupur Murthy from the south - live together and work together.
Vidhyut Bhandary, business head of FremantleMedia India, explains: “As far as the story is concerned, it’s very simple. It’s the execution of the show which makes it different from all the other web series you might have seen.
"The other factor is that, as an innovation, each episode exclusively premieres on Facebook (after which it is available on YouTube).
"We are also using an application called Facebook Live through which viewers will be able to interact with the characters in real time.”
FremantleMedia India is using the social media platform to the maximum.
“All the three girls,” adds Bhandary, “have disabled their personal Facebook accounts till the show ends. For the next three months, they will be their characters.”
With such a demanding idea in place, the producers had to make sure that the actresses who would portray the characters would be able to do so with ease.
Bhandary explains: “When we did the casting, we found people who fit the characters they would portray on screen.
"The South Indian girl, for instance, is from the south. Like her character, she is genuinely a little shy and close to her parents. The Bengali girl is fashion-conscious and, like her character, sings in real life as well. The one from Delhi is a typical Delhiite - very upfront.”
Interestingly, one of the two songs of the show - the title track - has been composed by Leslie Lewis and sung by Anushka Manchanda. It also features the vocals of the Bengali character, who is part of a band in real life.
